Hootsuite Parliament now sends Welcome and Digest emails in each member's own selected profile language, across seven supported languages: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, and Japanese.

Previously, every Parliament email sent in a single, org-wide language, regardless of a member's own language preference. That left multinational teams struggling to fully understand onboarding and weekly digest content. Now your Parliament admins can publish per-language templates and set an org default, so every member gets content they understand, without the manual workaround of maintaining separate communications outside Hootsuite.

How it Works

Setting up user-based email language is simple within Parliament's Email customization settings. These settings let your admins control which language each member's Welcome and Digest emails resolve to, without members taking any action themselves.

Set your default: In the General tab, choose your org's fallback language from the seven supported options.
Publish Welcome templates: On the Welcome tab, select a language, copy from your default or start from scratch, then save to publish.
Localize your Digest subject: On the Digest tab, write a subject line for each language while org-wide send settings stay unchanged.
Preview before you publish: Check how a localized Welcome email will look before it reaches your members.

This lets your multinational teams onboard and engage with Parliament content in the language they know best, helping you increase adoption without adding extra work for your admins.
